Terms and conditions
The conditions for buying software subscriptions and services on pragaweb.net: prices and VAT, renewal and cancellation, withdrawal, guarantees and data.
These terms govern purchases made on www.pragaweb.net: subscriptions to our software (for example My Access Check) and the paid one-off services sold on the Pricing and plans page. They apply to both businesses and consumers; where the rules differ, we say so.
Custom projects (software, websites, marketing) are governed by the quote and contract signed for each project; these terms apply only to matters those documents do not cover.

2. Definitions
- Customer: anyone who buys on the website.
- Consumer: a Customer who is a natural person buying for purposes outside their trade, business or profession.
- Business customer: a company, organisation or professional buying in the course of their business.
- Subscription: access to our software for a monthly or yearly period that renews automatically.
- One-off service: a service paid once (for example a WCAG audit, fixes, an accessibility statement).
3. How the contract is concluded
- Choose the plan or service and press “Subscribe”, “Start free trial” or “Buy now”.
- On the “Who is buying?” page you state whether you are buying as a consumer or a business, your email and, for businesses, company name, country and VAT number. You accept these terms and the privacy policy.
- You pay on Stripe’s secure page, where you see the final amount including VAT before confirming. Until then you can correct your details or go back.
The contract is concluded when the payment is confirmed or, for plans with a free trial, when the trial starts. We immediately send you a confirmation email with a summary and a link to these terms; invoices, receipts and licences remain available in your client area. The contract can be concluded in Italian, English, Czech or German, in the language of the website version you use.
4. Prices and VAT
Prices are shown excluding VAT, in euros (or the currency displayed). For consumers we also show the price including VAT. VAT is applied as follows:
- Consumers in any EU country: 21% Czech VAT. If our sales to consumers in other EU countries exceed the annual threshold of €10,000, the VAT rate of the customer’s country applies; the exact amount is always shown before payment.
- Businesses in other EU countries with a VAT number verified in the EU VIES system at the time of purchase: no VAT on the invoice, the reverse charge applies (Art. 196 of Directive 2006/112/EC). The customer accounts for VAT in their own country.
- Czech businesses: 21% Czech VAT.
- EU businesses without a valid VAT number in VIES, or when VIES cannot be reached: 21% Czech VAT. If the VAT number later proves valid as of the purchase date, we issue a credit note on request.
- Customers outside the EU: Czech VAT does not apply; any taxes of a business customer’s country are borne by the customer.
Any launch discount applies for the period shown on the pricing page (for example the first year); after that the subscription renews at the full price shown next to it.
5. Payment and invoices
Payments are handled by Stripe (card, Apple Pay, Google Pay and, where available, Klarna and Satispay). We never see or store your card details. Subscriptions are paid in advance for each period, charged automatically to the saved payment method. Invoices and receipts are sent by email and are available in your client area.
If a payment fails, Stripe retries for a few days and we notify you by email; if it remains unpaid we may suspend access until payment.
6. Subscriptions, renewal and cancellation
- A subscription lasts one month or one year, depending on the plan, and renews automatically for the same period.
- You can cancel at any time from your client area (Subscriptions and orders → Manage payments and subscriptions). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid, until which the service remains active. We do not refund partial periods, except under consumers’ right of withdrawal or where the law provides otherwise.
- For yearly plans we remind you of the renewal by email at least 7 days in advance.
- If the plan includes a free trial, the first charge happens when the trial ends: if you cancel before then, you pay nothing.
- We may change subscription prices with at least 30 days’ notice by email. The new price applies from the next renewal and you can cancel before then at no cost.
7. One-off services
We start the service after payment and after receiving the information and access we need (for example the website address or test credentials). Timing, content and number of pages included are those stated in the service description or agreed by email. We deliver the result (report, fixes, statement) by email or in the client area. If you do not report reasoned defects within 14 days of delivery, the service is deemed accepted.
8. Consumers’ right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer you can withdraw from the contract within 14 days of its conclusion without giving any reason.
How to withdraw: use the Withdraw from contract here function at the bottom of every page and in the client area, or write to info@pragaweb.net, also using the form below. It is enough to send your notice within the 14 days. We confirm receipt by email straight away.
Effects: we refund all payments received within 14 days of the day we receive your withdrawal, using the same means of payment, at no cost to you. If you asked for the service to start right away, before the end of the withdrawal period, you pay only an amount proportionate to what was provided until the withdrawal. For one-off services, if you requested immediate performance and the service has been fully performed within the 14 days, the right of withdrawal no longer applies, as we told you before the purchase.
Business customers have no right of withdrawal.
9. Licence
A subscription gives you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the software for the duration of the subscription, within the limits of the plan (number of websites, pages, users). The software and its content remain our property. You may not resell access, circumvent plan limits, use the service for websites you have no rights to, or use it in a way that harms the service or third parties. In case of serious breaches we may suspend access after notifying you.
10. What the results guarantee
Automated accessibility checks find only part of the issues covered by WCAG: they help improve your website but on their own do not certify compliance with any standard (WCAG, the European Accessibility Act or national laws). Features based on artificial intelligence (alternative text, plain language, translation) produce automatically generated suggestions, labelled as such, which you must review before publishing. Publishing accessibility statements and content on your website remains your responsibility.
11. Availability and support
We do our best to keep the services available continuously, except for maintenance (announced when possible) and causes beyond our control. Support is by email at info@pragaweb.net on working days; priority response times apply only to plans that include them.
12. Personal data and processing on the customer’s behalf
How we process your data is explained in the privacy policy.
When you use our software on websites, documents or data containing personal data for which you are the controller, we process it on your behalf as a processor (Art. 28 GDPR) under the following terms, which form part of the contract:
- subject matter and purpose: only to provide the service purchased; duration: that of the contract;
- we process the data only on your documented instructions, which are this contract and the settings you choose in the service;
- authorised staff are bound by confidentiality; we apply appropriate security measures (encrypted connections, protected access, backups);
- we may use sub-processors (for example hosting providers in the European Union) bound by equivalent obligations; we provide the list on request and notify you of changes so that you can object;
- we assist you in responding to data subject requests and with the obligations of Arts. 32–36 GDPR; we notify you of personal data breaches without undue delay;
- at the end of the contract, at your choice, we return and delete the data, unless the law requires otherwise;
- we make available the information needed to demonstrate compliance with these obligations and allow reasonable audits with notice.
13. Data export and switching provider
At any time you can download or request your data in a structured, commonly used format (for example JSON, CSV or PDF). If you want to switch to another provider or an in-house solution, you can request it with a maximum notice of 2 months: we help you with the switch, which is normally completed within 30 days, and your data remains retrievable for at least a further 30 days before deletion. We charge no fees for switching provider or exporting data, in line with Regulation (EU) 2023/2854 (Data Act).
14. Conformity and complaints
Consumers have the statutory rights regarding the conformity of digital content and services (Sections 2389a et seq. of the Czech Civil Code, implementing Directive (EU) 2019/770). If something does not work as described, write to info@pragaweb.net describing the problem: we reply and, if the complaint is justified, remedy it free of charge within 30 days at the latest.
15. Liability
Towards business customers we are liable only for direct and foreseeable damage, up to the amount paid for the service concerned in the 12 months before the event; we are not liable for lost profit or indirect damage. These limits do not apply in case of intent or gross negligence, to personal injury, or to rights that the law grants consumers and that cannot be limited.
16. Dispute resolution
For any issue please write to info@pragaweb.net first: we try to solve it directly. If you are a consumer you can also turn, free of charge, to the out-of-court dispute resolution body: Česká obchodní inspekce (Czech Trade Inspection Authority), Ústřední inspektorát – oddělení ADR, Štěpánská 15, 120 00 Prague 2, adr@coi.cz, adr.coi.cz. For disputes with businesses in other EU countries you can also ask the European Consumer Centre in your country for help.
17. Changes to these terms
The version of the terms in force at the time of purchase applies. For ongoing subscriptions we notify any changes by email at least 30 days in advance: if you do not accept them, you can cancel at no cost before they take effect.
18. Governing law and jurisdiction
The contract is governed by the law of the Czech Republic, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer living in another EU country, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your country and may bring proceedings before the courts of the place where you live. For business customers the courts of Prague have jurisdiction.
